I’ve been a fan of the written word, both reading and creating, for as long as I can remember. I think it started when I learned to read at 3, and was caught in the coat closet in my preschool, reading the labels off of my classmates’ coats.
As a single mom of 2 brilliant kiddos, I didn’t really think anything could come of my writing until I lost my job early in 2022. When I got fired, I floundered a bit trying to figure out what I wanted to do. While I was drowning in options, I started writing a book.
The book started as a way to get stories out of my head so they would stop keeping me up at night with anxiety, and blossomed into a whole novel named “Sidney Sherman’s Marshmallow Heart.”
Sidney’s story is one that is not your typical romance novel. Our heroine is a messy, almost-40, single mom who’s just trying to hold it all together and then she starts trying to internet date. She’s a realistic, chaotic tangle of genuine emotion, a touch of anxiety and a whole lot of fun.

Sidney comes to life June 22, 2022. I can’t wait for you all to meet her.
